Meta Beauty is a digital platform designed to refine honest beauty feedback into clear, concentrated reviews. We combine data science, expert knowledge and customer insight to help shoppers make informed beauty buys.

We're 100% independent. That means we're not paid to talk about products, and we don't accept sponsorship from brands.

Our platform is free to use. When you buy a product via Meta Beauty, we take a small percentage from the brand, and not a penny from you. We'll only ever link to suppliers we align with - we won't send you any where we wouldn't shop ourselves.

To help you remain unbiaised in your decision-making, we illustrate every Meta Beauty product in-house, using the same unique style for each image.

THE IDEA

Our goal is to separate marketing from reality so that shoppers can make informed beauty investments. To do this, we analyse real, recent reviews from multiple verified sources to compile a sample of 100 opinions per product.

Meta Beauty’s growing database can also be used to put products head-to-head in virtual beauty battles or to match you to your specific needs with its extensive search filter.

As we continue to develop, we’ll be launching more innovative features to help you build your routine, understand your skin and learn new techniques.

THE SCIENCE

Here’s how it works. We start by finding the 100 most recent reviews from a multitude of verified sources. Then, we combine the average ratings, tally the top 10 recurring comments, eliminate subjective data, and categorise each piece of feedback as positive or negative. From there, our data analysts are able to create each product’s unique Meta Review.

THE FOUNDER

Chloë Langer has a BSc in Biomedical Science and a background in cosmetic research and development. Her innate understanding of product formulation, consumer testing and the science behind beauty gives her a unique inside perspective into the industry.
